Everybody knows that beating your wife is horrible. Specialy those that Mr Jay presented. At the same time, situations arise sometimes in which a husband loses his temper and beats his wife; Unfortuante.

All wives are not angels and all men are not aggressive. But it is a shame to beat someone you know you are stronger than him. Why beat? Divorce her! Exclamation

My dad told me never to ever hit a woman.

On the other hand, there is a specific verse in the Qur'an which sanctions hitting a woman, but only lightly.

When I was in Somalia I saw this guy whack this woman in the mouth. Put her right down in the street. I walked up and hit him with the butt of my rifle. He doubled over in pain and I said "hurts, doesn't it". I guess that was one Somali I didn't win to my side.
