In other words why spend your time on the earth "chasing a phantom and adhering to rules and norms" when you can live your life freely and do as you please?Perfect_Order wrote:Yes but that is only someone who doesn't realize temporary satisfaction is only just that, temporary. If no permanent physical pleasure can be attained why must someone destroy themselves by chasing after a phantom. Take sure for instance, a few teaspoons in a cup of tea is delicious, but say you had more than enough and you drink it, that will turn you off from your love of sugar or tea. At the same time, effort and patience that bring about success is the key to happiness. Also, anything you enjoy too much brings a displeasure in it, but take the least of satisfactions and make it a rarity, you will see it as the greatest thing. So in truth a limitation brings about an ecstasy.
Well my advice to you is do some soul searching, maybe your just going through a phase, but never de-announce Islam, it`s not something we should ever consider, we are lucky to have been born into Islam, don`t throw away your gift because your having a hard time understanding some aspects of the religion.
I don`t believe every religion is a way of life, Islam will tell you how to treat your neighbour, your parents, how to bury your dead ones, what to eat, how to dress, what to avoid etc more importantly the message of the quran is the same in every single language, don`t matter if your Chines or Pakistani, they all read the same message, no other religious transcript can challenge the consistency of our holly book.Perfect_Order wrote:Xamud isn't every belief a way of life? That belief either directly speaks about that aspect of life or it chooses to let you decide. All beliefs are the same except in the particulars.
While mos religions have a set of rules and they differ from nation to nation, I mean some religions can`t even agree on which book to follow.
