I think the Brits pioneered concentration camps. They used them first in the Boer wars in 1902 (South Africa). As ever, the smooth Brits are not really associated with this ''evil'' and ''inhumane'' practice. You've got to love it.

The US also uniquely pioneered other top "evils", like the use of atomic bombings against defenseless civilians, a Holocaust that was totally unnecessary. The Brits did something lesser against German civilians at the end of WW2. History is written by the winners, of course.

Somalis were detained in concentration camps in Kenya. "detention villages" or something along those lines they were called. Around this time ~10,000 were slaughtered in Wagalla and Garissa massacres and Somali leaders were imprisoned. Those reponsible for these crimes still walk freely in Kenya today.

So Somalis have experienced [like] concentration camps.
