I dont think so maybe you would have split the somali groups into two

1)Terrorist wanabee and ranked them the bottom( by looking at the names of the candidates of course and their pics if available)
2)Progressive Somalis (looked at those having non arabic names or abbrevs like Mo etc) these would be ranked the highest closer to the Aryan performance.

Stop celebrating just because you outperformed the blacks. Somalis are performing marginally themselves, don't come with excuses. Every excuse you make up can be applied to Habashi and other ethnic groups who are performing better than Somalis.

Somali parents emphasize secular education as much as religious education and that is a fact. You'd be hard pressed to find a Somali family that actually encourages their children to read normal books, so it's very surprising that nearly 2/3rds of Somali immigrant students passed a rigorous reading/writing test and a fair number passed the math test. If Somali parents put a fraction of the money they spend sending their children off to weekend madrassa schools or hiring personal home qu'ran teachers into tutoring in math/science and English, then the test scores would be more spectacular. Most Somali parents themselves also didn't graduate from college, a fair number didn't even graduate from high school, so you can't really call this milestone "sad shit". Slowly but surely the scores will climb even higher.

Yeah that is true.

Most African immigrants( not including Somalis/Ethios) actually score higher than even white Americans. Foreign born Africans are the most educated people in the United States. Most are West African or second and third generations West Africans.

There is some truth to what you are saying, but come on this folks major problems today is self inflicted. killing each other, dropping out of schools,drugs, having kids out of wedlock etc. taking care of those issues will drastically improve their future.

Its because we tend to be stricter, kids dont have the time to go out as much or the audacity to answer back to parents...also because we came here for a better life we dont want to waste the opportunity we have. All in all a good thing, Im glad 'ethnic minorities' are doing well, would be a waste and shame otherwise.

Quark...when you dont have a culture any more (besides that nasty stuff promoted on BET which black people in the past used to frown on before it became popular) and the state has a history of demonising and brutalising you, you will develop these problems. Its hard when you dont have a reference point any more. We are lucky because our societies/music etc still promote these values 99.99% of the time. Theirs is a big issue.
