Rabshoole, calooley will always smell but what you can do put in plastic bag with lemon in it and cook that way then dalac later and make sure its very clean when you cook to reduce the smell! and about the neighbors tough luck dheh or give them some after :lol:

What is it with somalis and grains and beans. Barley, corn, sorghum, kidney beans, azuki beans etc. Don't we have vegetables back home? :lol:

Soor & plain yogurt. Only for sahoor during Ramadhan, apparently. Not sure why that is.

Well we have mainly in Ramadan but once in a while we have when its not Ramadan its kinda like sambuus and Ramadan :lol:

I ate Italian soor on saturday. My god caadi ma eheen! Some kind of farmaajo in the soor, could eat it without suugo, that's how good it was.

Cheese huh? Was it cold to the touch? Was it sweet?

I forget the name of the cheese I'm thinking of. It's also used in tirimasu.

No it wasn't sweet but it tasted like old cheese :lol: Apparently it was expensive. My friend went of bragging about how much 500gr cheese is worth 100USD. And you have to order from some back alley in the Lombardy region, Italy. Probably bs, but the taste had me believe it :lol:
