of course we cant read ppl's mind jst guess work besides i dont think it will be good that we can read other ppl's mind exactly what they r thinking at that time, though i watched a movie where this girl could read ppl mind.Beans wrote:There is no such a thing as mind reading. We only make judgment based on previous experience.

Re: Mind Reading
True Alpha but reality is,everyone has something important to say and just dismissing someone coz u think u read them right seems kinda unfair and little arrogant.

Re: Mind Reading
It depends if you're talking. Staring at each others eyes in silence is awkward but how can you not look at a person you're talking to? If you're walking or sitting on a bench then fair enough but face to face?

Re: Mind Reading
You can't read others' minds. You can only observe their behavior and make your own assumption of what they're thinking based on their action. Actual mind reading where you can dig into the person's mind and know exactly what they're thinking is impossible as God intended it and I think we're all save that way.

Re: Mind Reading
beans, what i take from this thread is trying to understand how a person feels in the ituation, not trying to assume their intentions.

Re: Mind Reading
Non verbal language? That is not mind reading.
Still at that,u r basically making assumptions.U cant be sure wat u understood is wat they meant. It isnt like giving the finger.
If i am talking to someone and avoided eye contact, even once in a while,i simply stop talking.

Re: Mind Reading
for some, eye contact can induce severe anxiety and even a panic attack. for me, its physically exhausting after some time. isnt what you said just as arrogant, if not more? this isn't an attempt to assume someone's intention behind speech, but to try to underatand how much they enjoy ur company or how they feel in the situation. i dont see as a dismissal of what they said, but that it aides in understanding.
