yesterday, I bought what I think was the most expensive loaf of sliced bread in the world. I was extremely busy and asked my cousin to by me bread from a nearby corner store and handed her a hundred dollar bill. I got the bread, nothing else, not even a dime back. Rip off to the max

I once had a encourter with one of my hommie's brother who was a wadaad at one point, the dude sees me at the gas station and asks for couple bucks to get gas because he left his wallet at home. I gave him what little change I had on me at the time. turns out the dude didn't even have a car, and has the audacity to go in the gas station and get some booze and makes a run for it, all while I'm pumping my gas, had it not been below 0, I would've put him to sleep. that was the last time I gave out any money to any begger whether Somali or not.

I've been hustled more than once, my neighbor pulled me in some convincing sob story before, like I don't have anything to feed my kids and if I can lend her few £s, I suppose anyone with a heart would give her money. The other day she sent her teen daughter with the same sobbing story and I am like 'listen hon I just cooked, if you are starving you are more than welcome to join me and if you want bread and milk I can get you some from the corner store but I aint gonna give you money lord knows what you are going to do with the money'.

If she can dash out for petrol, car tax, insurance etc.. Surely she can feed her offspring..

Most of the times,I don't really say no even if there's a chance that they're faking it I've come across alot of actors and actresses,some of them carrying sleeping kids in their arms and asking for cash and its always cash never food. We had people coming regularly, once this lady knocked at our door and my mum shows her a packet of baasto, but the lady makes a face and turned her back, so my mum goes hadi gaajoonayse may diidi lahayd

This reminds me back in high school where this Somali dude, who was nicknamed after a former planet, used to intimidate people into giving him loose change so he can buy himself the dollar menu items at McDonalds.

He eventually stepped up his game and did "bigger" things. On Eid, at a Chinese Buffet, he was able to trick 15-20 people into giving him their money after he said he wants us to pay it all at once instead of having 15-20 different receipts. The guy ends up leaving the buffet. We didn't realize he stole the $300-$400 or even left the restaurant after the Chinese workers attempted to stop us from leaving. I quickly realized what occured (due to knowing his sneaky tactics) so I ran off while the others were forced to pay up. Others tried to flee while a few questioned why they still hang out and talk to a man that hustles them all the time.

I hear he's in jail now for robbing a shoppers drug market pharmacy. I say good riddance.
