Sadeboi the place was a camping place the Sultan and his soldiers visited upon being injured in a battle somewhere in Haud. They were greeted with a royal welcome. This was before his attacks on Berbera and war with the British started. It's somewhere in the year 1886 i believe. Lastly i think the Sultan is the one on the right wearing the white Islamic koofiyaad and watching his soldiers do battle.
"the Sultan dismounted,
and I rose from my chair and shook hands
and expressed my pleasure in welcoming him
and and sending for the one high-backed chair we possessed
seated his “Majesty” in it."

Oh ok...who was the Sultan when his soldiers got injured in the Haud? And what let to his war with the British? They said the Sultan is 6'5 that man is the only to fit that height.

Both men look tall to me.

You could be right though he might be the one with the spear. He was the Sultan himself in that clash. What led to the war with the British? they tried to make enroachments to territories under his control and many other factors, he was also part of the Dervish movement. He controlled anything starting from western Oodweyne to eastern Hargeysa territory and a whole chunk of the Haud + allied clans in Sanaag. While his rival cousin Sultan Cawad controlled Burco and anything east of Oodweyne.
This is him attacking Berbera.

Yeah, the other guys doesn't look 6'5. So, not to be over-bearing, but I've seen a lot members who hail from Isaaq spew hatred against the Sayid and Dervishes, what is the view of Sultan Nur Amaan obviously a man who was anti-colonial. You can't support both colonial and anti-colonial men.

The reason for that is simple. Many members of the Darood clan try to Daroodize the whole movement, overlooking the fact there was some influential figures from other clans in the ranks of fighting against the British. The likes of Suldaan Nuur, Haji Suudi, Gabay Xoog etc. Also it doesn't help the fact that the last government of Siad Bare through the Somali books written by Aw Cisse Jamac tried to pick and choose the history while trying to erase other people's history in the wider struggle. So do you understand where i am coming from.
