So really to an extent, I am a believer in spare the rod and spoil the child. That phase when you can recognise right from wrong but still don't understand the real difference and consequences of your decision, knowing what hooyo/aabo will punish you for will help you make the right choice.

Salool lakin there's a difference between hitting as punishment and as abuse. Hitting a kid who has no understanding of right and wrong is extreme. 2 jir muxuu kasa? Lakin I was hit, when I made the decision not to go into people's houses it was only because I knew I'd get an ass whopping when I got home. Until I was old enough to appreciate the wisdom behind it, the only thing holding me back was the memory of the pain of the qanjaruufo

If I ever talked to my mom or father like that they would beat me till I was I on the brink of death. That kid needs a serious ass whooping and that woman should tell him: "Go ahead and call the police, you'll never see me again and you'll never have a mother again"
That tactic always works on kids.

Suun is a Somali classic. I was the annoying sibling who when others messed up would ask "suunka ma kuu keena?"

That part killed it*Nobleman* wrote:' your a parasite' kulaha![]()

WHAT? Suun is nothing, I used to enjoy the suun. The worst is telephone wires, hot irons and burning white cutlery.

I know that now. But at the time, when I was a kid I was fiercely loyal to my family. I would wear the scars like a badge of honour.BlackVelvet wrote:Sorry to have to tell you man but that was child abuseabdi.ismail wrote:hot irons and burning white cutlery.
I've still got some of the scars. I'll just use it to help me pick up women, I'll pretend to be a tortured war-veteran.
