Yes you were wrong. The first thing one must do, is pray, fast, pay zakah etc etc.

Covering cawrah is compalsory you cannot try to bend the rules and accommodate walking with just a G string to act civilised.

The more you start thinking about how to appease people the more you loose the plot people will never respect you.

Yes you were wrong. The first thing one must do, is pray, fast, pay zakah etc etc.

But a woman cannot observe prayers while her cowrah is showing, and a man cannot be walking around with tight trausers showing his cawrah. Salada waa iney kaa reebtaa dambiga. I do not thing someone who shows her cawrah is practsing Muslim. She is just doing certain obligatory things. You cannot select which obligatory element of Islam you would observe while calling yourself a practising Muslim.
