Personally I love travelling though lately my work involves a lot of travel it is not enough, i want to visit many cities b4 aan la kala bixin.

Sometimes because of workloads and hectic schedules you don't have time to visit places; it is fly in , fly out.

Caasha Waqooyi; ma taqanaa sida loo dabaalado?

Waryaa,
Gartay. We learn every day. Actually, there are many somalis who don't know the word (the title is a kind of a saying).

Casho Waqooyi, maad i bari? I have made a pledge to learn swimming in the next 6 months.

I only know Cosob as a female name, and Cosoble as the male version.

So, our Lamagoodle leads a very interesting life, and now we also know why his such a shaxaari, its what he does to pass time.

You should learn to swim for survival not to show off.

Waryaa, you are probably right. Cosob as a fresh grass is probably only known by non-urban somalis. Most somalis see it only as a female name.

VeiledGarbisaar, I am an old school shaxaari; a dying profession. As regards my travels, I would be happy to take you on board; sometimes I need female partners to accompany me to events; soo bax oo dunida soo daawo; aan dalxiisne lamagoodle soo raac :) :)
You could teach me swimming; anigana waxyaabo badan ayaan ku bari lahaa

Horta waaba la mormee teed ahayd?

Lol@ dying profession, it could be that the old ones who were into it are 'dying.'

I don't need an invitation boorsadeey mar hore aa xirtaay. :-)
I cannot teach you how to swim, I wasn't born or brought up in Cadale. Though I can swim to the deep-end and return, laakin, I can't swim in the deep-end in the sea.

Do you know where you're going next? Hopefully not Mali

Vailed, good one; professions don't age but people do .

Waxaan islahaa tan waa hore ayaa ugu dambeeysay in madaxeeda biyo lagu shubey ee ku janno tag  Just in case.

I am going to start swimming lessons in June because I discovered that swimming pools are shaxaari playgrounds.

I am going to Vietnam in a few days time. I love Asia. It is very dynamic and quite different from Africa where people just loiter the streets.

Kadibna back to Europe.

P.s. mid deriskaaga ah oo la soo xumeeyey laakin lacag leh ma taqaana? Mid aan diyaarad saaro oon soo dalxiisiyo

Yahuu.

Swimming is a great activity regardless, and after a long day it will help with stress.

Asia is lovely and dynamic, but I heart Africa and I come alive with all these busy streets. I would love to go somewhere like Senegal and historical cities like Timbuktu. Where in yurub do you reside in mostly?

   @mid deriskaaga oo la soo xumeeyey. Inkaar ku qaaday kuma dhihi kari. :x So, mid aan la soo xumeeynin maa dhaqaan karti miya? Balaayo la dabeecad xuun. Gabar aa ku raada oo 'xaajji xaaji xajuuni' ku tiro, sigaarka xata waa ilooweey.

Gabar waa la i siiyey. As a matter of fact every old person I meet "gabar buu i siyaa". laakin mid xusul baruur ah oo aan weeysada isku dhoowrsano ayaan rabay. Turubka waa laisla bartay; gabar yar dhibkeeda badan. Anigaba waa la i soo xumeeyey marka sheekada waan isla keeni karnaa. I don't even mind a gumeeys or cajuuso ( 30-35) .

The feeling of giving hope to a middle aged woman or gumeeys is great; ajar and love is my destiny. Garoobadana waxaa la yiri nabiga ayaa u duceeyey, anigana waan u raaxeeynayaa

I have never visited Timbuktu! You have a taste for culture! But, I have visited Egypt and almost English speaking African countries. Have you read Joseph Conrad's in the heart of darkness? That might give you a clue of one of the countries I domicile in.

Ala adigaa, you are a true lamgoodle. Mid aan weeysada ku dhowrto ku yeh! Meeqo nin aa saas ku luug go'y? Besides, you do realise 30-35 she is fertile, right? Oo weeysa dhoowr waa caajuso, marka maxaad rabta in aa islaan ku soo raadiyo. I would say 45-50? Gabdha yare dhibkooda maa badaan ee adiga tabar uu heen. Maa adiga aa lugu xumeey? Maskiin. Anyways, hada waa ka ciil baxday, mid isku dhacayso aad haysta.

I love culture. I visited Egypt, but didn't really enjoy the cultural places, I'd definitely prefer the Petra City. The locals can really kill the viewings for tourists though. I think I know which country you live-in, I have never read that novel but have heard of it and is on my 'reading hit list'

lol@@@@ ” adaan tabar u haaynin”

Naagaha waxaay cajuusooyin ku noqdaan 30 jir. Nimankana waa sidaa ”wine” we get better as we grow. 40-50 jir jirkeeda maba noolaa oo dareen maba laha oo waa ceel gurey; bilaa nafaqo. Mid gashaanta ah ayaa baadiyaha igu alkuman. Ma rabo inaan keeno dibada waayo markii laba maalmood joogto oo aay il baxdo ayaay bacda madoow dibada iigu soo tuureeyso. Laakin waxaan doonayaa inaan gaado naagaha garoobada oo lacagta leh; fahan, waxaan ahay leg iyo maal doono.

I go to museums a lot in the west. In Africa and Asia, I like visiting historic sites. My favourite place in Africa is Victoria falls/Livingstone on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia.

I also read a lot of books; everything from philosophy to biographies. When it comes to novels African writer’s series books and classic literature like Hemingway, Conrad, Blair (George Orwell), Kippling, Defoe and Swift.

There you have my CV (the cultural part). Marka I iib geey. Haddii aad keentid mid aan ku naaxo you will get the benefit of a trip for 2 to the African museum in my town.

Adigu inteed degantahay?

Loooooool, ala meeshan waxa laysku cabaa! Khatar cadiim.

Lol@ We get better with age! Hooy maa ogtahay inuu kor keena mancato noqdo? Sheeko kugu nacay. Lol@ maa nool, xasiid saan. I got a story, this old lady and man (around their 50's) aa is qabsadeen. He tried to marry another lady, and she wouldn't let him, they went to court and everyone said, hooy is daji it's the right of this man to marry another lady, and she was like what for? All my life I was busy, bringing up his kids, now I'm ready...meesho oo rabo aa ka dhacayna. Walaalo, why would she do that? Not all ladies resort to bacdi madoow. Ruun ahanti hada aqaan lahaay garoob lacg leh mare hore aa walalkeey ku darsaan lahay. I live in ingaliska, marka I don't see rich garoob's. Besides, war cusub maxaay tahay garoobka oo maal lugu raadsanaayo? :?

For some reason I love West Africa more than Southern Africa, okay there is a good reason, there are more Muslims in West Africa and ones with rich history! I was watching a documentary about that area, wallahi it is splendour, the beauty is astounding. They showed us the Angolan savanna linking it to Zambia and the Victory falls, and the guys that fish near there! Walle rag culus.

Okay I'll check their novels out. I like African writers talking about their people and culture, as far as I have seen the Igbo have really out-done themselves in this, and I once read a novel by a Senegalese lady that was very interesting too.

I must say you have a solid CV, sii fiicaan baa uu gadmay. Laakin, I'm getting a trip to museums for finding you a partner?

Veil, good story but highly unlikely; in general somali women have a best-before-date which comes before meno-pause. Even the cadaan woman are inactive when they hit 40. The problem is that if I hit on a 35-40 then I have to start hunting again after a few years. Macaanka wuu ka dhamaanayaa unless of course there is flavour (read money). Hadaay lacag leedahay waa laiska dul qaadanayaa; laakin shiid+da'= kurbo waaye. Bacda madoow is the rule rather than the exception believe you mean. Somali women will start by saying Xabiibi, xayaati qalbi, aboowe macaan, adiga la'aanta abaar, la'aanta geeri before you hook them; once you marry them it all boils down to humiliation. There is an exception though; garoob lacag leh oo buuran oo weliba 40 jir ah; she wants to have a younger man to show around and here is where I come in; I make her feel like a queen infront of her peers and my reward is money

About West Africa, I have only been in Gambia (English speaking) and it was great. There is an african writers' series (started in the 1960s); Leopold Sanghor (senegal), Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka (Nigeria), our own Nuradin Farah, Ngugi wa thiongo (Kenya) are a good read for anyone interested in african literature. Another favourite is CRY the Beloved country.

Hadaan qaraabo nahay qalbigeeyga mid qaboojiso ii raadi; haddii aad ku guuleeysto qabrigaaga aan siyaaranayaa
