Your judging Valencia based on a few couple of good games he's had recently, where was this dude during the first half of season? He's definitely not better than Walcott and Milner's plays a similiar wing game to him believe it or not. This dude is very tacky, I don't like his game and I would take Shane long for him If I had the chance

Young has had his time of brilliance i admit but its been a relatively short phase.
Valencia has been one of United's best players since 09-10 season, you can compare a seasoner to someone who just recently made a quick rise.
As for Nani, he hasnt been the same this season, plus he cant defend anywhere near as well as Valenica. But in wing position it's very close call, he could be better.
Bale is a player known for his flashes of greatness, but in terms of all around football skills he's not up there in Valencia.

Valencia has been one of the best for Man u since 09-10 sxb.
You said inconsistent (cant cross, dribble, control the ball to save his life) Walcott was better than Valencia. Sure he has his moments of brilliance like Bale, but he's not a player you could rely on.
Say no more buddy.

We're talking about wingers here not wing backs, wtf does defense and reliance have to do with that?

Valencia is great defender in the sides, but his game up front is not up to par. If he was so good why is he always playing in the back most of the time? Even at times when they aren't any injuries?

Milner is better as a central midfielder, I know this first hand from his time at Villa. As for Walcott, not even close. Young is probably equal though, but Valencia has been consistent as hell this season.

Read my friend.
I never said he is better in wing position, i said he could be used better. Specifically drop back to the CL final; Barcelona vs Man utd, why was Valencia selected and not Nani? simply because Alex wanted to play it defensive - long ball game - this is why Valencia fitted the bill.
As for him playing full - back which he can play allright in, Alex wants to experiment.

As for that list - change it sxb.

Thanks for the reminder by the way, I was very disgusted when Sir alex chose Valencia over Nani in a game where we needed offense from the wing, our bread and butter, not defense. There is not much you can do against the midfielders of Barca except to play the game on each side and cross it in the box, which man united is actually pretty good at. That is the only way Real was able to beat Barca a couple of times. They avoided the middle game.

I vented after that game, and thought that option should've been taken but that was ideal thinking.
Barcelona were on fire that season and in the final and would surely have slaughtered an attacking Manchester Utd.
Man utd at the time had a very strong defence and counter attack. Alex must have thought that by exploiting the best qualities of the team that he could some-how stand a chance to deafeat Barca. But long balls dont work considering their pressuring is very high. So the options themselfes were limmited.
But an attacking Man utd defeat Barca? not a chance, they tried that in 08-09 and were completely outplayed. R.madrid were similarly slaughtered in late 2010 of that year and they learned that lesson by taking a defensive approach, somehow Arsenal managed to defeat Barca though.
I do remember long balls were passed to Giggs and Valencia but they almost immediately lost the ball.

I wouldnt say Milner is average, he's pretty good.
As for Walcott he has moments of brilliance; he can easily turn a game around and he seems to do great when Arsenal as a whole have a goodd phase. BUt the problem is that he's inconsistent and when he plays bad he plays like he's lost. Walcott is decent overall.

Silva is too much of a fluff luxury player who you can't play centrally in a 442.

I personally prefer Luka Modric.

Not sure if I should respond when one guy claims Valencia is not a midfielder, but a winger and another person claiming Walcott is a better player. Not sure if you guys are trolling

Ahhh not quite, 12 premier league assists, joint highest in the league, even though he was injured for a considerable part of the season. 6 goals and he has taken some of the best left backs in the world to the cleaners. Brute pace and power, chamberlain and Walcott couldnt match the guy together. Literally carried utd in loads of games and on course to win his second league title. Sure winner for utds player of the year and all of that in just 20 premier league games (16 starts). Say no more :D
