What kind of scholar trims his beard? I doubt this guys even legit himself.

He's no secular for sure but I'm dubious on these modern Shiikhs who call for freedom and justice. If he was my macallin dugsi back in Somalia, I'd believe him 'cause he was true Somali shiikh - secular and freedom loving. But modern shiikhs seem to talk from boths sides of their mouths depending on the audiance. Look at Qardaawi he is for freedom and equality when speaking to liberal audiances although he sounds like 1920s fascists when speaking to prejudiced audiances like Wahabis.

Islam is a beautiful religion, but thanks to islamic extemists and hooligans who have redefined what it means to be muslim. reading the life of the prophet, how gentle and patient he was, his perseverance and wisdom, his responses to various calamities and his deliberations you wonder why no nation has ever lived upto those standards. in the west, people like saddam hussein and hosni mubarak are considered muslim. On the other hand, we we have the Osamites. since this union is either well versed in islamic teachings or is entirely exposed to western hypocrisy, his confusion is duly noted. about the subject matter, freedom is allowed as long as it does not transcend the boundaries of our beautiful islamic faith. who cares about churches, what islam prohibits is an active Christianization perpetrated by a minority.

I would not be merely content with freedom that "does not transcend the boundaries of our beautiful Islamic faith", freedom means those boundaries coming down.

i am in no need of a freedom that questions 'Allah.' in my book Allah is the one who questions servants and not the other way around. I feel for ya bruh, of all the things in life to be enjoyed and done, you choose to dwell on such matters

You are free to be in 100% compliance with Allah and his will. But the government should not make a law forcing all people to be in compliance aswell. Some may wish to drink and fornicate and engage in adultery, though that may be morally reprehensible it shouldn't be illegal.

Yes you are right everyone has a freewill but to encourage it is wrong also, i think it is a better society when a ruler would say " Acts such as this would bring you no benefit" and they degrade the sins to the lowest point of it being disgusted and know one would go that low to shame their family name by fornicating with a prostitue or drinking or some sort. This will result in the act being casted out of that particular society, but as i said encouraging the people to sin would result on the encourager having all those sins on his shoulder to burden when Allah judges him on Yawmul-Qiyaam.
