I think Taiwan can be compared to Somaliland.

Puntland on the other hand can be compared to Hong Kong however whilst the latter is slowly being incorporated in China it seems that Puntland wants to distance itself from Somalia. If Somaliland was successful in its bid to get independance ( ) I wouldn't be surprised if Puntland followed.
