I like to believe that ina godane or - as I like to call him - Somali Keyser Soze doesn't exist. He's just a myth cooked up by the fat cats of alshabab so that no one could ever say they killed the leader of alshabab.

Abdi there's a guy who lives by me that used to live next door to him in Hrgeisa b4 he "Godane" joined SNM in the mid 80s

Everybody's got a story about him. I know a guy whose cousin knows a woman who served ina godane tea once.

A couple of uncles joined SNM at 14/15.

Ibrahim Afghani is much older than Ahmed Godane.

Godane and friend of mine attended Islamic university in Pakistan and he described Godane as tall and skinny fella, not light skin or dark skin but a mariin kind. He majored in economics and use tutor Somalis at uni of subjects relating to his field of study; he said godane was highly regarded as super intelligent individual.


As for Ibrahim Afghani, he is more known. He was my immediate uncle's Quranic teacher back in Hargeisa. He is described as stern no nonsense guy. Physically he is extremely light skinned, tall and rather physically strong. I reckon their families are known therefore I'm sure they can find pics of both.
