No one cares about who you write down, so don't worry about my list.

The minute Rov walked into the building the whole hawiye staff started  I feel you are injecting your clan things to B&N. Sometimes you need to be clan free

We do not care the clan of the person or whether I liked him or not, but if we build a mesuam we have to include so many people from Aydeed to Yey. The only difference would be how we summarise their history.

I certainly would know what I would say about Aydeed and Yeye    but I would never deny their role in the formation of the now Somalia

1. Amir Abadir founder of Harar, the fourth holy city of Islam.
2. Boqor Mohamed Daud first Darood King and founder of Ximan kingdom.
3. Amir Ahmed Gurey founder of Adel empire and first conqueror of Abyssinia.
4. Amir Nur second conqueror of Abyssinia and reestablished Harar as the "Walled city".
5. Hirabu General commanding Somalis who took part in the conquests of Abyssinia.
6. Ugas Diini, unfortunately there is no chronicled history of Ugas Diini, the oral history of certain events I know of but it need confirmation and his oral history needs to be recorded and collected, along with any external records. From what I have heard he is a very important character, the Marehan Ugas line runs for 13 generation and Ugas Diini stands out the most. his direct descendants include:
7. President Major General Mohamed Siyad Barre, 3rd conqueror of Abyssinia and the longest ruling Somali President and father of the Somali revolutionary period of Kacaan(our own little industrialization period).
8.Shire Jaamac Axmed, father of the Somali script. Which influenced and prompted development of culture, music, arts, education, news etc etc it was still Kacaan, but this particular man was the source for what we may consider our own version of the European renaissance.
9. Sayid Mohamed Abdulle Hassan, founder Taleex and the Daraawiish resistance movement which pushed a world super power(British empire) to use drastic tactics such using planes in Africa for the first time dropping chemical and explosive bombs by hand onto us in Taleex.

the last man on my list is gonna have to be Farmaajo, this man is not following the cow tracks, he is making new tradition and creating his own tracks to be followed, he is also the most popular Somali currently and has the potential to become the most well known Somali to have ever existed if he continues this way, although Siyaad Barre will not be easy to beat, our young Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo by the time he is in his 60s haduu ilahay yeelo could very well be the most well known Somali figure in Politics.
 they are second to none
You can fill an entire library with the histories of those great men
From 13 century till 21 century you got love the chronicles and the narrative of a people

I would appreciate if someone summarises the history of the following people so we would have a final understanding of them:

-Abdullahi Yusuf
-General Mohamed F Caydeed.
May Allah have mercey on all the dead.

I prefer Mod21 to take the task of Abdullahi Yusuf

And a H/gidir person to do the Caydeed one.

Please be to the point and concise. We are particularly looking for reasons that they should be apprecaited across Somalia i.e beyong their clans.

I have the write to edit the content:lol:

Rov,

I do not know the two generals you mentioned. What did they do? where they just Generals or they have done something to the nation? enlighten me huuno ;)

I really don't see anything Special about most of these guys, do you want me to drop names of your clan me just for the sake of diversifying the hall of fame ?? seriously if you need Charity go to NGOs, this is a discussion board, agree or disagree, but no insulting the dead, all of the men I listed have left this world, except for Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo, so take it easy guys.

6.Aden Cade
7.Ali Matan Xashi
8.Ghandi
 8-)
I can see sense in CAbdiraxman Mursal he was an Cawliyahan warrior who was not easy on the British. the rest of the guys are great men no doubt, Ali Mataan indeed is a revered man, the Kacaan alone should have its own library/museum, so should the heroes of Adal and the heroes of Darawiish and other anti-colonial tribes including some of the Isaaq some of who fought the british.
