Colonel,

Xamar cad cads and barawanis are racist towards the ethnic somalis. Good luck  but a couple of my extended family members were able to bag a nice barwani/cad cad girl so i hope that gives you a bit of encouragement

I read that too, although it was from wiki so I wasn't sure. It also said they have some Bantu admixture (from Swahili's) which could be true, I've seen a few Reer xamars and they were all light skinned but with many different nose and hair types. So does 70% Arab, 20% Bantu, and 10% other (Portuguese and others) sound about right?

Adeerkiis, you are harsh and generalising! That was so maybe in the past, but if you visit some cities in the west, it is the "cad cads" who are enhancing somali culture. There is intermarriage and integration. In Mancherster for instance, the "cad cads" have also learnt the art of marqaan

Fighter,

The cad cads I know are cool tbh and the only reason i did not attack the girl is because a woman was with her (i'm guessing her mom) which had the brown somali skin, i saw which ally she entered though so it's all good imma catch her next time.

They're not racist. I remember this Reer xamer girl chasing after my cousin a couple of months ago. It was pretty funny to watch and useless because he had his sights set on a Warsangali girl. She made things very awkward for him though.

aasli,

The only way to find out is make them do dna genealogy tests. they are somali though. they lost their arab/european culture. they speak with a reer xamar accent. they mixed with somalis in xamar back during the ajuuraan empire days.

lamgoodle,

 perhaps but in the west, you can make a Japanese woman get married to a guy from the Congo. Multiculturalism for the win!

Aasli and Colonel,

I didn't say every single one but tell me why do the overwhelming majority of them marry within each other when their numbers are so small? its not racism, i shouldnt of used that word. Lets just say they like to keep it in house.

You're kidding right? I don't know what Somali girls you're use to but my sisters and cousins would redefine what you consider light. You can't tell if they're Reer xamar because they're light. There must be another reason, did she have Arab features? Because if the girl was light with Somali features than she was most likely Somali.

Fighter, the cadcads are somalis and tribalism is a trademark of somalis. I don't think they are different. FYI, what lamagoodles call cad-cad is a cluster of communities that are diverse in everything.

Nothing positive about this new phenomena. It's a new form of qat. It's gonna make them addicted and violent. They will spend money wanting to play. Competition between them will lead to gambling. When they get bored from a certain game, they'll move to violent ones.

They should have done a little study about the effects of such gaming in industrialized countries. Smart parents in those countries have banned gaming from their children. There are numerous studies conducted by professionals, medical experts, sociologists and other experts who have highlighted the dangers of gaming.
so long as it keeps the predators (alshabaab) away from them i dont see the harm in it..

Let the youths play...I remember when the VHS was a new thing and how eager I was to find 50 Francs to catch a movie at someone's yard ...40 Francs if you wanted to skip the trailers (or the porn scene that served for one from time to time  )

I have nothing but respect for cadcads, I chill with my hommie and his adeers, very funny, patriotic and humble people :som:

As for the video games, I would rather they busy themselves on that than turn to guns, Somali needs major recreational centers. My friend now volunteers at Garoowe library and each day they get a massive turn out.

I bet you could make a lot money if you opened an amusement arcade in Somalia. All you need is to rent a big hall and buy a bunch of flat screen TVs and PS3s.
