we have official holiday for that and all major mosques filled with government officials. it's just few reminders between maghrib and issha and there is no food nor drinks

I'll give you my opinion on that if you don't mind.
I think it's a good thing, because they can avoid extremist groups setting up shop here and there spreading their hate filled teachings. The only negative is khutbahs become repetitive,e.g the same khutbah in every masjid in the city.

Some regulating needs to happen but from Muslims themselves. The Finsbury Park mosque has done a turn around alhamdullilah.
