I think the word is unisex too, you know it starts with AB as in fir! but don't know what the last bit means

My Somali is fine and I was raised in Xamar marka if you don't know the word doesn't mean its wrong!

There is always slight variations. so no one somali is correct. it just depends on ur community. Xample; sharmarke, shermarke and sharmaarke are all ways to write one name. Despite the differences, we understand each other and that's all that matters.
