If you have not learned from your previous mistakes and correct them, then every effort you attempt to move forward will be abortive.abdi.ismail wrote:That's all in the past now, it's all been destroyed. Look to the future.

What if you long for something that was built on inequality? The very reason for Somalia's demise?eliteSomali wrote:If you have not learned from your previous mistakes and correct them, then every effort you attempt to move forward will be abortive.

LOL@ Qabiil.
You have no idea what you're immortalizing and trying to commemorate. Qaasim aptly put it when he said “Dusha midabka Soomaalibaad dugulka moodaaye. Misna laguma diirsane qalbiga waa dirkii Karale” The Somalia in your pictures that you are trying to go back to were built on quick sand. It was a matter of time before it disintegrated. The foundation was built on inequality. If you trace back history you will see why this is the case. Do a little reading. Start with how the constitution was ratified, how the union of Somaliland & Somalia occurred to form the Somali Republic, take a look at the earliest coup de tat in 1963. You will come to understand the Somali Republic was doomed to fail from inception. Too bad we didn’t it wasn’t aborted earlier and it took many lives than it should have.

Re: Vintage Somalia
So to you, unlike many other, somalia's destruction isn't attributable to qabiil, civil war, dictatorship and etc.. Somalia's failure, to you, lies more with how quickly it emerged out as a country and claimed it's spot in the African continent. What's this inequality then? Does it have anything to do with the way the republic of somalia was formed?

Re: Vintage Somalia
I'm not going to spoon feed you. What I will tell you is the reason the Somali Republic disintegrated is because of the inequality that occurred from inception. You can either decide to read up on it or remain ignorant. One thing I will ask of you is not to put words in my mouth; I never said Somaliland/Somalia should not have gotten sovereignty. What I said was the nature in which that sovereignty was exercised was no different than a new form of colonialism. If you can read Somali, this is what Qaasim meant in those verses.
