Safia's family said their daughter is "happy with her new husband," a man who survived Italian colonization, British occupation, Siad Barre dictatorship and Somalia's dissolution.
Somali historians say that the wedding was the first of its kind in Somalia for over a century.

only 18 children with 5 wives? come on! he is not producing much. My grandfather had 32 from 3 wives. The first one died then he married the second, then the third.
This gug is not a pedophile though. he is just delusioned fragile old man. It is the family of the girl to blame for.

it is still the same in this case. They guy is very very old for the gilr. Helll he is even old for 30 years old woman. Whatever he is it is the family's responsibilty to protect their daughter, but it sounds that they sold her to him
