Re: Somali Hotels in Dubai
No, not hookers. They're blokes who work for the hotel owners and serve the guests. They do the usual room service and even run errands for you.
Re: Somali Hotels in Dubai
lan great. Can they buy me some moonshine, even local brewed as long it is legit. I am very keen to get wasted on a budget on my first trip to dubai... Looking for something like a dive bar. Any recommendations?

Re: Somali Hotels in Dubai
dude are you crazy?
Somali hotels are dry and they cater to gullible freshies from somalia or those who want cheap accommodation right next to the gold souq so that they could do their shopping conveniently.
Now for someone like you , you definitely do not want to stay in a somali hotel.
You can get whatever you want
depending on you budget..
Off season which is now, you can even get really good deals in the 5 star hotels $150 is doable.
Now for the nightlife, it is vibrant and luxurious with allot of tail, the problem is the best clubs are exclusive and snobbish,
they will probably not let you in.
I havent stepped inside a club or lounge in 3 years so i am out of date,
but when i was on the game, i never used to go to a club unless i was on the guestlist/ knew the DJ or the bouncers etc etc.
This nightlife represents about a dozen clubs/ lounges and only represents 5% of Dubais nightlife.
and the experience is the same as you would get in any western city.
The other 95% is a different world all together and is 100% pay for play.
In these venues the ratio of girls to boys is something like 3 or 4 to 1 for the girls.
but dont get too exited !!! these are all whores.
every woman you see in those places is a whore , apart from the bartenders .

Re: Somali Hotels in Dubai
Gurey thanks bud.
Tell more more on these specifics.
Is a furnished studio in midriff ok for usd 85 per night. Any extra guest free. Pretty much everything, including well stacked kitchen. Can a dude buy 2 litres of booze from airport and bring it to the city as a muslim or will i be fined.
Any specifics on the 5% deals. I prefer to stay away from p4p for now and a cabin crew british airways chick I met on way from Chicago O'Hare airport was telling me about a strip called sheikh zeyn road with plenty of expats and likely place to find decent tail. Heck she was teasing me and telling I would have showed you around the city were it not for me not flying there.. What a cunt.
Any specific recommendation on decent hotels, like you said 150 for 5* is pretty good if they have continental breakfast, swimming pool and gym included. I am a holder of mercure card and was thinking your take on mercure or even ibis dubai. Are they girl friendly?
Good dive bars in dubai. Would prefer to get decently hammered before my evening starts and was hoping if there are happy hour deals in the city, especially on beers. Any dive bar recommendations.
Finally wanted to replace my frames in dubai and was thinking of maybe even looking into RayBan or Porsche sunglasses while I am there. Is Dubai a good place for bargain on sun glasses...Original polarized ones of course... What about hugo boss watches... Lets hear it buddy. Cheers

Re: Somali Hotels in Dubai
Mirdiff is a no no..
Its a residential area that is far from all the tourist activity, it is however right next to a huge mall city center.
There are no bars within a 20 km radius of mirdiff.
now for the 5%
as i said i am out of touch but you could check out
http://www.timeoutdubai.com/nightlife
as for dive bars? there are hundreds they range from hip trendy ones with house music blaring from them, to live rock bands to quite ones
it depends on your type of scene.
now ibis and novotel are good choices they are both owned by the same company , i would recommend the shiekh zayed road location.
nobody cares what you buy from Duty free , the customs wont even bat an eyelid.
about the frames.. they call this place dobuy for a reason.
its all people do, shop..
remember you can bargain in most places..
