Omg I've seen that show. I watch it from time to time when I'm bored. I know exactly what you're referring to, most women their look trashy or commit serious acts of cosmetic abuse. I nearly always end up approving "Pod's 'make under's " as she calls them. :)

Anyways, I partially agree with you on natural being best. That does mean I rule out make-out up completely. My benchmark is that if make-up is readily identifiable by males it has definitely surpassed the 'natural/simple' look.

Guys are getting really good these days and spotting a girl with make-up Vs. one who doesn't have anything on. I mean I don't blame them, one day they see the girl looking worse for wear, and the next day all blemishes are gone, her eyes are smokey and her lips don't look the usual chapped, but kissable and reddish.

For sure bro. Less is definitely more. What about inside the house, in terms of your wife, are you okay with her wearing Western clothes? (obviously not too much, like short skirt) Or do you want dirac.

I've realised every guy has a different taste, but most them don't like the Over-The-Top make-up look. Although, there are some who HATE certain make-up. Like my older niece, her husband hates lipstick and in general make-up.

That is why if you're going to paint yourself you cannot have a day off.

You're right that, some Somali guys will give you tips on best cleansers and facials. They're way ahead of the game. Forget about spotting make-up. I like to think they're the exception that proves the general rule.

 Exactly, it is better to invest in good skin, and general health, since they are both inter-linked than Make-up.

Loooool@ tips on cleaners and facials, wow, those are waaaay ahead of the game. Do you think we might have one on this site? I so need tips to eliminate under-circles on the eyes.

I don't own any Mac lipsticks but I'm hearing their good. Most my lipsticks are either bobbi brown, Rimmel London, maybelline or max factor or soap and glory. I like floral colours and nudes and these days I'm starting to like dark lipsticks like the ones witheredfleur put up. I'm seriously obsessed with lipsticks I even wear them when I'm at home or before I go to sleep. One of my favourite ones is the Barry M green lipstick that turns pink or red depending on the alkaline level on your lips. When I put it on it turns nice pink and it stays on for 8 hours I put that on and put my nude lipsticks on top it looks really nice. Or put on lipbalm and put the Barry M on top. I want to try the max factor lip tints has anyone tried them?

I do not wear make up either. Just wear lipsgloss or vaseline the most. My lips are kind of brown or light-brown that people often ask if I use lipstick

TeAmo,

No, I haven't.

I'm looking for an ethnic minority person, who runs a blog doing Skincare & Make-up reviews. Do any of you girls know of one?

I recently bought a MUA lipstick though. I like it, it is a bold red.

I'm all about plums, reds and browns. I really wanna try purple but haven't gotten around buying one yet. I wear pinks once in a while. I don't think I can pull off nude lipstick :x It always looks cray on me.

This is the shade of purple I wanna rock:

Side question: Does anyone use Bobbi Brown creamy concealer? I'm thinking of leaving MAC for it.

Lipgloss > Lipstick

I don't usually like wearing colour on my lips, most I would use is liner and blend it in.

Leave the Bobbi Brown concealer, apparently it is heavy to use, and costs quite a bit. Anywho, read this article: http://www.guardian.co.uk/fashion/fashi ... rk-circles I have MAC one, although I still want to go out and see if there is better one. What I'm concentrating on now though, is not needing to use a concealer.

Either red or pink lipstick (which I wear pretty often) or nude lipgloss.
