Step 1: Base representation along Regional boundries that makeup and decouple it from clanism. Since the regions are multiclanish it takes us somalis one step away from clan isolationism. Supporting a political issues along regional boundries is far superior to our current clan based political affiliation.

Decouple politics and clanism = Regionalism = at peace with itself and it's neighbours.

It is best that I use my caqli (afican caqli or not). Nominating onself/coming forward was also an option. So there is nothing wrong with that. As for me, giving the go ahead, it is just important that we do not waste time .

I think we're divided more on the net than we're in real life. Because in real life no one would tell you to take a hike because they're discussing 'daarood/isaaq/hawiye affairs'. I dont know who designed this site but I don't think it was a good idea to create all those private groups for different qabiils. That just promotes unnecessary beefs and misplaced hostilities towards one another. Couple times I was told 'what are you doin' in this secton'? WTF If you want to unite anything, start by gettin' rid off all private groups because that's where the most hate takes place. Second you'd need the MODS' assistance in banning anyone who openly insults or puts down another qabiile while extolling and promoting another. Umadaan umad la midayn karo ma'aha. Exactly my sentiment all this time since I joined this site Walaahi. Though the intention behind creating them might have been good, it's just inescapable that it would turn into what it's now: groupie platforms where we divide ourselves into clans & sub-clans and attack one another on the net.

Sometimes you kinda understand where some people are coming from when they say they're concerned that family or friends catch them on Snet, "cause it's qabiil site". But then again you ask yourself, if they're that concerned then why do they act headless on Snet?
