There is nothing wrong with the article other than it being incorrect at times with the 'Arab' references and slightly unprofessional in the beginning.

That's not true.. most Hawiyes are not mixed with them.

First step to correct a wrong committed by you or your group is to recognize the problem. For instance, in America, before the US government could claim of being free in its world-wide campaign against communism, it had to first recognize the wrongs that it has committed against its citizens, the African Americans. US government accepting the civil rights struggle was its first sign of acknowledging the problem. It is still not perfect, as many hurdles remain, but at minimum they recognized the problem. For many Somalis who live in the U.S. and in the larger west, it was the civil rights struggle that opened the door for you.

Well, a question can be raised, and that is, why Somalis cannot do the same for their fellow Muslims in Somalia who happen to be Bantus? Here you have a group of people who look like us albeit minor feature differences, who talk like us, who are fellow Muslims like us, and yet we descriminate, we don't intermarry them, and we don't even acknowledge the problem. Non-Muslims are doing much better than us

Most of the info on that document, while a lil Xaggarated, is correct. THese people were robbed off their lands before the civil war and then were robbed again off their farms and their stored crops in the civil war. In the 90s they suffered a lot in the hands of the rest of somalis. Especially in mogambo, kismaayo, kamsuuma, dhasheeg waamo and etc... unless you have the history of what was done to these people, you should not be surprised at all.

They are not native to Somalia. They are illegal immigrants from Central Africa and shouldn't feel entitled to the land their ancestors acquired illegally.

It is a fact that they were descriminated but they exaggarted too far..For example I read an article that one of them wrote in which he said:

1. We were not allowed to go to school..This was a blatant lie..as a matter of fact people were forced to go school that is why there /programmes called called dugsiyada khasabka...

2. He also wrote that they never had and were not allowed to have running water/showers and stoves in their houses..The question is what % of Somalis had that.. and the like..

The bottom line is they are mistreated but they also lie alot about it..

Listen, the article spoke of lies being peddled. Back at that time, lies were being peddled by many so called refugees. My point was that Jareers peddled so did JEbertis. Its a valid point that those looking for asylum exagerrated their stories to seek asylum.
