This video is embarrassing. United States welfare system isn't s generous as that of Norway. There is more incentive to work in the US than to game the system. The money is meager and most Americans nowadays are qualified for food stamps because of the economy. Somalis in America mostly work. I think in Europe, their employment opportunities are limited except in the UK.


In America, Retirement Age Somalis who didn't work and didn't pay taxes into the system before get about $600 a month. Disabled person gets about the same. Only generous welfare benefits go to kids with mental disabilities.


America is a place of hard-work. You either make someone out of yourself, or you live poor whether you get welfare or not. Guess how much money a newly arrived refugee who legally came to the US gets a month? $200 dollars for seven months and that is it! you can't pay rent with that and buy food for a month. You have to find a job right away to afford an apartment. That is what people do. They travel to smaller cities and start working in chicken factories, meat plants etc. Some serious labour.
