Well she cant change what she is. A somali. It dont matter what she wants to identify her with,lets just not deny reality. And btw Fey argument is invalid since this girl denied that she was a somali at all. Not that she was from Somalia. Thats another argument.

The fact that she said she was from the horn speaks volumes. No need to be defensive about her own embarrrasment. The kids could see that she was na ethnic Somali and pointed that out. SHe could have said I am from Jabuit, that is if she ie really from Jabuiti.

I have seen all sort of things. I even saw people who say that they have never been to Somalia with the most strongest somali accent. But what they forget is that whether you are Somali from Somalia or not you are considered a Somali refugee. Get over it.
This is what I tell people sometimes: I from Somalia, I have been brought up in Miyiga herded goats and stuff, saw loins even killed a lion (which is very true except killing lion bit). To excite them a bit more I may talk about gudniin and stuff
