Well there are bord signs which says somalia italiana and some stamps
Now since the italianS colonized somalia they call it that no need to translate it english

The britis colonized somaliland and called it british somaliland

And frenc called djbouti ciise and affar territory witten in french

The italians never called their colony italian somaliland its just translated in englishs

italians are not english speaking people. and the word somali(land) is a english word therefore italians does not need to call south somaliya as somaliland because they dont speak english. but british who owns english language actually called south somaliya as ITALIAN.SOMALILAND.. and british also Colonized also mogadishu and south somalia more than 10 years from 1944 to 1954. Mogadishu was under British...

french started calling jabuuti as isse and afar terrtory after 1968 when somali vs AFFAR war and afar PEOPLE demanded to be changed the name from FRENCH SOMALILAND or somalie france. to dhulkii ciise and afar.. Afars convinced French to change the name a natural name because afars did not see themselfs as somaalis.. so 1968 french goverment changed the name to ISSA AND AFAR aTerotory ..

khalid ali i have a plan to stop any hostilities between somalia and somaliland i have a solution. somalia and somaliland should put implement DMZ zone (demilitrized zone) in the border of Sanaag, both armies the national army of somaliland and the national army of somalia will be stationed on opposite sides of the border. whoever crosses in it whether somalilander, somali(an) they will be shot at on sight. this is what north korea and south korea do there is no peace treaty but they is rarely any violence. north korea claims south korean sovreignty but it agrees to DMZ.

khalid ali, you ignorant fool the brits, Italians and the French didn`t hold Somali states, they held Somali territories and the key word here is "SOMALI"
All the European powers new that they held piece of a larger entity which they had under their protection/occupation
The system that your people lived under is similar to that of an occupational authority that happened to Germany after WW2

The British handed British jubaland to the Italians and come 1960 the brits handed British Somaliland territory to the claimant which was the somali republic
The brits didn`t hand over a state when they handed over british jubaland to the Italians nor did they hand over a state to somali republic in 1960 when they handed over

british Somaliland. What handed over was a protected territory and once they stopped protecting, the responsibility and the ownership of those territories were handed to somali republic and all claims by the brits was annulled
Dad ka jaahilsan idoorka waligay ma arkin wallahi, habar, oday, wiil iyo gabar wa iska socdan, wax ma aqriyan waxna ma maqlan, Khalid ali ba macalin, wadaad iyo oday u ah..JAW deh
They lived under British rule over 100 years yet they have no idea how the world works and what the nature of their colonisation was

you are one of those people I am speaking about look at your avatar puntland a tribal mini state yet you want somalilanders to unite with you based on somali nationalism does that make sense?

dulbahante will decide their own future if they want to unity with china good luck nobody can force another clan

but what can south offer dulbahante? war? shabab? kenya? famine?
meseret aka union you've brought up an interesting argument about why should dhulbahante stay with the south and you are right indeed its in their best interest to join and unite with the so called "somaliland" which by the way if you ask anybody outside somalia would not know if such country "somaliland" exists on earth. :) :) :)

Lol there was no somali republic prior to 1960 u was not called a somali. Republic

U was a un trusteeship runned and controlled by the un the same way u are under mahiga now and days

The two parliament and two administrations of both somaliland and somalia united in 1960 first of july it was an equal union from a legal prespective no such thing as handing over to one and other

But the hawd and reserve area was handed to emperor haille sellesie in 1954 which is the northern part of the ogaden region

Somaliland was just colonized as any other country in africa only ethiopia and liberia were not colonized somaliland was just colonized the same way djbouti ghana nigeria togo zimbabwe eritrea gambia were colonized somaliland was colonized for more than 70 years and they gained independence like any other african state they just united with another colonized country which gained independence a few days later and agreed to join.

Jubaland was administrated by brits under their colonial office of british east africa it was later handed over to the italians
Similar to the hawd and reserve area case

Get ur facts straight

Thank you , I understand you all too
If you all southern daarood and hawiye do the homework I have assigned you , Somaliland kicking and screaming or not will be back .
If you do your part I will do mine . I say I because I am going to have to go against almost every single somalilander but it doesn't necessarly mean it cannot be done .
