perhaps the elders don't trust women to properly represent their clan as an MP, they see if a women gets that MP seat then that seat is just wasted?. who knows she might be married to rival clan or might get married to a rival clan or her children are from a rival clan.

zingi, it means they now have the quorum and the process will continue with or without the absent MPs. To have your voice heard you must have your PMs on the floor.

Some clans like Marehan and Dhulbahante have not forward their names yet and are expected to do so by Saturday. Other clans like within Abgaal, Murusade, Habar Gidir, Dir, Rahanweyn have been sent back for including people like Indhacade, Qanyare, Mohamed Dhere, RRA warlords, and SRRC warlords and some of those clans have refused to change their roster.

The releasing of this list and the quorum is to put pressure on them to move on and name new people. Otherwise the system will move on beyond them.
