Burco for capital is the perfect solution. Its very central and has excellent links to most cities..

Maybe Burco, but whats it got that hargeisa does not? Sheikh is too small but its very picturesque, u do not want to ruin it with large scale builiding.

berbera is the most well-planned city and has the most potential, its the cleanest, and the most beautiful, hargeisa's ugly cramped up and no planning at all.

Berbera also has the most roads in Somaliland.

Residential neighberhoods have paved roads.

There is Nothing wrong with hargisea being capital it is well connected with other towns and has good climate

Look at these ugly people talking about "why is Hargeisa the capital?". Have y'all niggas been to Berbera in July? It's f-king hotter than Dubai. Hargeisa has the best climate in the world for fuck's sake

Hargeisa will and always will be the capital

Hargeisa cant survive as a major city in the long run due to shortage of water. Berbera while it is hot makes more sense, coastal cities has always got more advantages over inland cities.

Moving to Burco doesnt make that much sense.

Honestly Berbera has the most potential as a city.

It is well planned and has soooo much room to expand and form a new city from scratch almost. Plus it is right next to an emrald blue beautiful sea with an amazing possibility for a 5 star port.

However, the problem with it is that it is too hot. I hope that in the future it becomes the Commerical/Economic capital of Somaliland and Hargeisa acts as the political and legal capital of Somaliland. In the same way that Sao Paulo is the commercial capital of Brazil and likewise Mumbai is the commercial capital of India.

Hargeisa is badly planned in terms of town planning and has atrocious roads.

However, the advantage that haregisa has is that it is a very cosmopolitan city with the population being socially advanced, also it has a nice climate and can reach dizzying heights. Plus it is a short drive away from Berbera the future commercial capital!

Even though Burco is my hometown it can never be the capital, simply because us Burco people are too rowdy and off the wall. Having said that burco is probably one of the best cities in SL in terms of town planning.

Uhm, over the collective dead bodies of all sane people is Sheikh ever going to be made the capital. That whole city and its vicinity should be one of the green reservations in SL;complete desertification wants to be our friend. Berbera on the other hand,humidity levels shouldn't really matter as a capital. If its a cooler holiday people want, there are other choices.

Lol@Sheekh. Sheekh and the surrounding area should be preserved as environmental havens. It is also a school and college town - our version of Cambridge. None of you have given a valid reason as to why Hargeisa should be capital over Berbera, except "climate" which can be controlled nowadays with AC and proper ventilation. Even Burco makes more sense - it actually has town-planning and untapped underground water resources. It is also in the middle of the country and so has connections with both western and eastern regions.

Hargeysa is the capital and will stay that way no one here could find a city in somaliland to replace hargeysa as a capital there is no other alternative berbera is too hot, sheikh is too small and people will ruin it , burco is too crazy , ceerigaboo is too far

We should make cadaadley the Capital.
