No offense buddy but you don't sound intelligent enough to know what is and is not Unislamic. All you presented here are innuendos and hearsays all in a bid to tarnish the reputation of a honorable man who fought tirelessly to extricate Somalis out of their current plight. He deserves gratitude not slander by braindead morons.

Arabman, OK I watched all 5 minutes of the video and found nothing blasphemous or impious about it. In fact it was one of the most insightful ruminations on the conundrum that is Somalia.

The Prof simply reiterated the indispuatable truth that the Quran has become a bloody business in today's Somalia. Who can deny that? When you put it in its proper context all that means is the Quran is being used by some Somalis (Alshabaab which you, 1nemansquad and Abakar20 all ardently support) to kill and maim, which is absoutely true. Like the typical seef-labood Somalis you all are quick to jump to the gun and throw the good Prof under the bus without first seeking clarification or putting things in their proper context.

Please stop this baseless hatchet job.

He's an articulate academician, therefore, doesn't require putting in context. He put emphasis on the Quran, not on those who supposedly "use" it.

Aren't you or someone else supposed to do something about that?

What the hell , you got me confused the articale began with Prof Siciid Sheekh Samatar (Daarood-Leylkase) a Christian , and it ended with the other Prof. Samtar ( a Gedabursi). Its obvious these kids confuse the tow Samatar's.

Siciid Sheekh Samatar a nationalist?? since when? where you people sleep for the last 40 years. Prof Siciid Sheekh was never assailed by his Co-clanist , the likes of Aw Jaamac Cumar Ciise and Axmed Faarax Idaajaa, throughout the 1970's and the 1980's he was lauded as a "great historian " albite a clanist one. Aw Jaamac & Co. (Samatar, Idaajaa, ) were given great access of funds and state institution from universities to the Somali state printing agency (run by Caano-Geel) to produce a Daaroodiset version of history throughout the 1970s, and 1980's.

Prof Siciid Sheekh authored numerous articales and one or tow books among them Somali Nationalism and Oral Poetry :The Case Of Sayid balaa balaa balaa, in 1981, a hatefull revisionest peice of bilk. Only the Daarood hail this clanist imposter as a nationalist, the man who contributed to the spread of the venomuse clannism that eventually destroyed the old Somali Republic shouldn't be interviwed about anything that Somali, but then again Somalis are bound to repeat the same mistakes over and over again , thats the nature of an oral soceity with short memory span.

Sicid Samatar was a pandering clannist who contributed to the demise of the 1992-93 American operations in Somalia by feeding them false/biased intelligence.

Thats not Prof Sacid Samatar, thats Prof Ahmed Samatar, the brother of Prof Abdi Samatar. He is not anti-islam or doesn't make those kind of statements.

Right. Except for Abdi Samatar, I don't admire the other 2 Samatars. This is the thread where you made a comment about the Samatar in question:
