Alcohol was prohibitted during the Prophet's (PBUH) time!

Narrated Anas bin Malik: I was serving Abu 'Ubaida, Abu Talha and Ubai bin Ka'b with a drink prepared from ripe and unripe dates. Then somebody came to them and said, "alcoholic drinks have been prohibited." (On hearing that) Abu Talha said, "Get up. O Anas, and pour (throw) it out! So I poured (threw) it out. (Book :69, Hadith :488)

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: "alcoholic drinks were prohibited (by Allah) when there was nothing of it (special kind of wine) in Medina. (Book :69, Hadith :485)

Narrated Anas: "alcoholic drinks were prohibited at the time we could rarely find wine made from grapes in Medina, for most of our liquors were made from unripe and ripe dates. (Book :69, Hadith :486)

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: 'Umar stood up on the pulpit and said, "Now then, prohibition of alcoholic drinks have been revealed, and these drinks are prepared from five things, i.e.. grapes, dates, honey, wheat or barley And an alcoholic drink is that, that disturbs the mind. (Book :69, Hadith :487)

Narrated Anas: While I was waiting on my uncles and serving them with (wine prepared from) dates----and I was the youngest of them----it was said, "alcoholic drinks have been prohibited." So they said (to me), "Throw it away." So I threw it away. (Book :69, Hadith :489)

Narrated Anas bin Malik: alcoholic drinks were prohibited. At that time these drinks used to be prepared from unripe and ripe dates. (Book :69, Hadith :490)

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: 'Umar delivered a sermon on the pulpit of Allah's Apostle, saying, "alcoholic drinks were prohibited by Divine Order, and these drinks used to be prepared from five things, i.e., grapes, dates, wheat, barley and honey. alcoholic drink is that, that disturbs the mind." 'Umar added, "I wish Allah's Apostle had not left us before he had given us definite verdicts concerning three matters, i.e., how much a grandfather may inherit (of his grandson), the inheritance of Al-Kalala (the deceased person among whose heirs there is no father or son), and various types of Riba(1 ) (usury) ." (Book :69, Hadith :493)

i wonder why Salafis claime that its haraam to draw picture or handicraft Human picture. BECUASE we have coins froom back inn the days the first 100 years of islam existance.. coints even some of them showed bug bearded man whit white stick..
so as many of us suspected salafism is nothing more than innovations( Big bidcads) .. new addings in islam and has nothing to do whit original islam because we have coins which scientificlly being dated back 7th century the time of Muawiya bin abi sufyan. and all leaders after him..

I have a book by Tom Holland called 'Persian Fire'. I haven't finished it yet but if his academic rigour is this shabby, I might as well chuck it away.

Dr Yalaxow, there's a special place in hell for people who chat shit about diinta without having any proper knowledge to do so. Don't put yourself in that situation, stop making a mockery of our religion.

It's not Just someone!! It's someone who saw the rasuul scw and probably eat lunch whit him such as SAHABI MUAWIYA and AFTER him ABDULLAH BIN AL ZUBEYR THOSE people under their adminstration which contains scholars who lived the time of prophet scw and saw prophet sc him a live those people did hand painted human pictures. they painted pictures. handicraft Human pictures. so in islam i mean Real islam is halaal to make artist painted pictures like those coins in MUAWIYA TIME..

salafis after many hounred years they changed the religion to claim its haraam to paint a human picture! new bidca from salafism. they made it xaaaraam what people closest to rasuul sc such as muaawiya did it...

so salafism as i suspect is about innovations and newly false hadiith to back their claims... but this evidance of early muslims painted human pictures show us salafism is liers...

yalaxow did you go to some numistics website do a search for muslim coins and then post them here without understanding what you are doing.

the first 2 pics are of a coin that is not from mucawias time , it is not a dirham, or a drachma this could range from 1200's.
the last pic this one

Image[/quote]

is a fake , and the experts on that forum have already explained why.

and even if it was not a fake sold to tourists, it looks like its from tadmur, as it was found near petra,
tadmur of queen zenobias time.
400 years before the birth of the rasool allah .

actually couple of years ago i was cairo museum of islamic art and i saw coins from Muawiya time and you can google it if you wanted. those coins are known and scenticlly proven from the time of first islamic empire in 7th century and coins show pictures of humans handcrafted. and people who did was living and someone of them even saw prophet scw. so my point is salafism after hounred of hounred years they come whit new innovations which forbits human painting pictures . so salafis as i suspected its about innovations..

AND THIS COINS COME FROM MUAWIYA TIME
