the day they institute this i will create my own rebel movement and ally with Khatuumo.

The great thing about our government is that though they have the same corrupt instincts as every other african kleptocracy, they are too weak to do what they dream about, the power the clans is too strong still.
This is the reason somaliland still has any development to speak of.
Now you need some government control to build and maintain public infrastructure but income tax, and aping other taxes we see in the world will not help.
Do you know that income tax became a permanent tax at the same time as the federal reserve was created in the US?
1913..

Instead of aping this destructive form of tax and handing too much power to our immature governments i suggest we copy the success stories that you dont hear about, that the bankers try to distract you from because it is against their interests.(i.e harder to take control of).

Land value Tax.
This is the secret of Japan, Taiwan, South Korea , Singapore , Malaysia and Hongkongs rise.
Its the reason Hongkong can finance massive infrastructure projects, and maintain a 10% tax on corporation since the 50's.

Our taxes should only be in the form of Land value tax for most of our income, supplemented by import tarrifs, and taxes on corporations.
Small businesses should be tax exempt, and to encourage cooperatives to grow as large as our large businesses they should be tax exempt as well.
it goes without saying , no income tax.

this is more than enough to provide upto 3-4 times the current government revenue without hurting growth.
How is that a good thing? It shows that somalis are backward and need some sort of strong hand to guide them into progress, because they are to petty and infantile to rule themselves.

What is land tax and how is it calculated and gathered in those countries you'be mentioned?

The tax I mean isn't the sort of extortion and robbery you get in the west, where someone on only £30,000 a year gets taxed up the arse. I mean a standard, all-across-the-board rate of about 5% and a rate of 10% for large businesses. That's about 5-10 dollars for every 100 you make, hardly a large sum. The money will then be used on public infrastructure projects and development programmes that will benefit you and increase your revenue due to better infrastructure, better educated workers etc. If the people don't won't to pay they can bugger off to xamar, I'm sure they'll like it there. You don't just not do something because people don't like it.
