The average American voter has the memory of an octogenarian with Alzheimers. They won't remember anything about the debates by the end of tomorrow's workday. These undecided voters will still be undecided tomorrow and even on the first week of November. They will make their decision on Election Day when they are driving to their daughter's local public school to cast their ballot. Undecided voters are idiots.

It's all about likeability when it comes to these undecided voters. Which candidate do these undecided voters like more? The overwhelming majority of people who voted for the Dems or the Reps in 2008 will vote for the same party next month regardless of what happens. This election is not about them.

The real poll is on Election Day.

LOL @ Chris Mathews, he seems personally hurt, he wanted to come on tonight raving how Obama stuck it to Romney. Poor guy, his night was stolen.

Guhad, you don't know American Elections like we do, has hard as it is to believe, this debate won't make a dent in the trajectory of the election. It won't change the fact that Obama is raising more money, out spending Romney in ever race, and pending close to a million more in almost every swing state. It won't change the one million or so early ballots cast in Ohio and other states. It won't change the over 6% lead Obama has in swing votes, and 2-3% lead in national polls. These debates come much too late in the election cycle to matter.

he is also leading by 5-6 points in Ohio... unemployment in Ohio has gone down from 10% to 7% in the last 3 years or so

No Republican has won the White House without winning Ohio

Obama's path to 270 is much more easier..

Obama doesn't even need OHIO. If he wins Florida with the large Latino voting for him all he needs to add is Wisconsin it's a wrap!>!

They are tow horses runing but they have the same owner, wall street and the oligarchy. Why waste your percious life on watching these tow actors put on a good show???? There is no decmocracy in America its managed operation, first the rich through the GOP and DNC choose 2 horses behind the scene, and which ever horse the peasent like sand elect its their chosen horse , because they slected both horses.

The rest is done by Fox news, cnn, nbc, abc, abs, msnbc and few talking heads and pundit make this dull game look interesting to people and make it as though its a Roman gladiator combat and there is a difference between the tow , all in an attempt to get people interested and vote . Remember by voting people legitmize this fraud so they have to make people vote to mask the operation. If you know how the game is played you would have stop voting. stop voting , once people stop voting , the system will cease to operate , nothing will change stop voting folks, just check Romeny's and Obama's campigm contributers, both horses are owned by Goldmen and Sachs.

Nobody will loose, both of them will win at the end of this debate or any debate or any election , the only loosers are us the working people that run like mices on tread mill for ever just to fule their eceonomy , consume , work , pay taxes and then die.

I agree with most of your post. I think I'm still going to vote just on the local issues in my community and county.

But what about supporting independent candidates free of the establishment? That could be useful if the society was awaken.

And politics is all theatre, it gives you entertainment :stylin:

Never ever will their be an independent who can win presidency, the system is to tight to allow for such a blunder. Look no further then Paul and Nadir, year in and year out, the media just drops them out of the scene, simple and thats it, they never make it. The only way things will change in America is to allocated equal share of media exposure to all candidates , and public funds also euqally given to all candidates and all privet contribution banned. But that would never happen the Rich will never allow that. So what else the people can do, nothing , just stop voting your vote will change nothing , the tow party candidates are owned by the top 10% segment , why bother, just make your lunch watch your tv and get ready to go slaving for them tommrrow or you will be homeless this winter.,

Agreed. The thing is they won't do campaign reform. As long as big wall street guys and lobbyist are funding campaigns, the likes of Ron Paul don't have a chance.

I saw Jesse Ventura on Piers Morgan the other night. As you know he was a 3rd party candidate in Minnesota and became Governor in 1998. He was talking about those same issues if he was to run for President in 2016... he pretty much kept saying "if they allow me in the debates" and all that other stuff.
