the new prime minister should not meddle in the internal ethiopian core interest
we should apply "don't tell, don't ask" policy to ethiopian hegemony up north

why sabotage ethiopian somali relations, the status quo serves somalis and ethiopian quite well

Obvisiouly that is not what i expected him to say but of course to tow in line with his superior Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. Frankly he should just focus on liberating Al shabab
completely from Gedo and other southern regions. This was Somaliland president's adviser response to Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, making it clear he should not dream about
a unity that is not viable and carrying a weight he can't carry.

Unity is still an option Siciid85, wether you like it or not.

But I agree the President have to focus on Gedo and the Jubbaland issue aswell as securing the arms trade and hideouts in order to make it difficult for Shabaab.

How do you expect unity when you operate on a system that disrespects a major group.Nevertheless as the saying goes fool me once shame on you, fool me
twice shame on me. Somalilanders are more settled now politically and will not make the same mistake as their forefathers in 1960 who were deceived by non-existing
Somalinimo. Somaliland has everything it needs in Somaliland. Coastal access, extensive land suitable for agriculture, natural resource. Somalia needs to learn how to survive
as a sovereign state without Somaliland.

HJ, GX, HA etc are all Somaliland citizens nice try Mr Gedo. Thus the Somaliland-Somalia issue concerns each of us, do you think we will be content with a toothless
government who is being protected by AMISOM tanks to tell me they are the head of state for Salahley, Burco, Maydh, Oodweyne or my other lands? hell no.
I am not a khaatumite that doesn't use logic but blinded by tribalism to the point they will do niiko for something that has never done anything for them.

What are you talking about? that conference was mainly about development.lol@ that is rich coming from someone who is from Gedo and is always being used as "yes"
man from the weak Farmaajo the man who was forced to step down by AMISOM after being used to this another parrot who is parroting after what Hassan Sheikh Mohamud
clearly said weeks back. Notice no Somaliland gov official is responding to the parrot but his superior (Hassan Sheikh Mohamud).

I agree.. when Somaliland got its independence and the British left, Somali politicians in north were not as many as in the south and the ones in the south had much more experience because southern Somalia was a trusteeship under the Italieans, so they had more access to the political system and new more about it.

When the north and south united, the main problem became that the power was centered in south, it was not distributed as it should've been. However Somalinimo existed and was propagated but it was just talks not action, it was more clan interests that dominated like today and the country was corrupt. Afweyne change all that and the years from 1969-1977 was the best but after that we all know what happened.

I hope that Somalis can unite on the basis of common interests and goals and leave the clan talk. If that doesn't happen and Somaliland choose to go its own way then I'll support Somaliland 100%. They're still my brothers and sisters.

Siciid, worry about the next km you have to pave and not the power structures and functions of governance. You are not even known in the south while the north knows the whole situation of the south. Aan la hadlo Habar Jeclo ama Habar Awal, madax to madax, not some street paver
