stoning was practiced nto long after the prophet's death, there are sahih seerahs that show incidents of stoning approved by Umar bin KhattabAbuukarSubeer wrote:No where in the whole Quran does Allah ordain the punishment for adultry whether married or not married to be stoning, this was a law that Allah sent down with Musa (as) in the Tawrat, the law was abbrogated, some may use the hadith where the prophet ordered someone to be stoned to death for adultry, this was ofcourse before the ayah for adultry was sent down, you should know that the prophet always used to follow the law of the tawrat before it being abbrogated with the new law of the quran which is much more generous and kinder than the more harder Tawrah.
If someone is caught doing zina, the biggest punishment is public-flogging, and even before that you need 3 or 4 witnesses to verify the incident if it occured or not.
I rarely believe Al-Shabab even do this, La ilaha ilala, the prophet said a group of muslims will emerge in Akhirul-Zaman who'll spread fitna, kill muslims and spare the idolators, how many muslims did Al-Shabab/Al-Qaeda kill compared to how many gaalo they killed?
Only 3 or 4 cases and 99 percent of the time da girls admitted thy did sex dont believe somali media always bad mouthing shabab peace achievements in South SomaliaElfRuler wrote:The Ottoman's ruled for six centuries and I believe there was only one recored case of rajm carried out.
God knows how many people Al-Shataan killed in the name of adultery in the past 6-7 years.
cus da girls wa already married and she was caught and she confessed to affairs also is to warn others not to do such a crime in da future friendly remindersElfRuler wrote:Three or four cases is a lot in such a short period of time.
Why would the girl "admit"? No one believes that Al-Shataan can deliver a guilty plea without using a sledge-hammer and it's likes.
Sxb, Islam is quite simple. Don't spy on people, don't backbite, don't falsely accuse people, and don't give a false testimony.ahmed omar mohamed wrote:cus da girls wa already married and she was caught and she confessed to affairs also is to warn others not to do such a crime in da future friendly remindersElfRuler wrote:Three or four cases is a lot in such a short period of time.

No xalimo will be dumb enough to be caught by four witnesses who saw the whole account in a manner that did not violate her privacy. Allah knows best.
Who made Al-Shataan the Islamic authority of Somalia?

I'm not from Saudi Arabia and it's not the Saudis who are beheading Somali people to terrorize them, using them as human shields, and misusing and abusing Allah's sacred law to put the fear of Al-Shataan in the people and create an environment that doesn't even acknowledge basic human privacy and freedom. Their extremes irrespective of where they supposedly adopted it from should not be tolerated in Somalia.Leftist wrote:Elf,
I notice that you're fixated on Al-Shabab, as if they're the root of all evil. They're not. They've done plenty of good, but have crippled themselves and Somalia with their irrational ideology that emphasizes rituals and dogma to the exclusion of reason and logic. But that ideology didn't spring from a vacuum; it had to come from somewhere.
Are you willing to lay the blame on, say, the Saudi scholars who legitimize the bastardized application of Sharia(only on the poor, not on the rulers), who strip from women the mobility and independence granted to them by Ilaahay?
It's easy and politically correct to beat up on groups like Taliban and AS, but I'd like to see the same condemnation being hurled at the originators of that ideology in the first place.
