very nice story waryaa, especially the road trip, I can relate to that. Don't you just love driving in those long african roads even worst at night when then the only light is from the headlights :)
damn gaalkacyo must really be as notorious as everyone says it is guns and everything :dwill:

waryaa, how come you didn't visit caluula/eyl/xaafuun they look beautiful from pics

cumar, a UNDP high ranking officer offered to take me to many places in Bari and Sanaag lakin there were some security issues at the time. Their first trip was to Bargal (lucky me, i didn't go with them) and they were chased back by angry locals before they reached the town. I also spoke with Bandar Bayla mayor on the phone and he too invited me. Sanaag is very beautiful with more green land

Waryaa,

The stretch of road from bacaadweyn to Galkacyo is horrible. My back almost threw out. But I think its fool hardy to live in Mugdi Mudug. With all those vendettas, we would be prized targets.

awahab, they worked on that part now. More then 90% of that stretch is now smooth with not potholes  The worst is north of bacadwen. I agree with you it is not worth living there at this time.
