He is not going to get cancer or diabetes getting to 180/190. The average weight for someone who is 6'1 is around 180 anyways. It's not terrible at all.

I didn't tell him to stuff himself with sugar. Just eat substantially more at night and don't be as active. The results will soon go towards the whole body and not the belly itself. Takes time. No harm in that. The man isn't 300 pounds.

I dont think I can become obese. Come to think of it I have never seen a somali person over 250 pounds its just rare. I think obesity is genetic the worse that could happen is just growing a big belly

What do you mean by weight? Specify? If you're at 6'1" Perfect weight for you would be btwn 190 to 200lbs. Protein shakes don't make you gain weight, they help you build muscle. If you want to build muscle, drink protein shakes before and after work out, buy weight gainers also. Weight gainers are different from protein shakes and they add you some serious calories. There's this weight gainer I used to use and I've had great gains with it. It's called "muscle mass" and it has like a 1300+ calories if used with milk. That plus eat 4 to 6 times a day with each meal containing about at least 600 calories. Drink a lot of water and work out as hard as you can. You'd need about just a little bit under 3000 calories to maintain your current weight but if you want to gain weight, then increase your calorie intake.

if you buy that that weight gainer and the protein shakes this is what you're looking at:

1300 from the weight gainer
about 200 from the protein shakes
let's assume you eat five meals a day with each 600 calories. that's 3000 calories
Overall calories adds up to 4500 and that'll get carry you until you reach 165 to 170 then you have to eat more. the more weight you gain, the more you have to eat to gain more. If you're serious do that, if not, stay being skinny.

As the name suggests, weight gainers are weight gainers whereas proteins are muscle builders. That means you can drink a lot of weight gainers and gain weight without lifting a finger. However, you can never gain weight by taking proteins shakes without working out because they aren't meant to help you gain weight but rather they help you build muscle. Each time you work out, your muscles stretch and you drink enough protein then that helps promote muscle growth. I'd suggest you use muscle mass, drink four scoops a day with milk. Two in the morning and two at night. And drink protein shakes(25grams) before and after work out. That will not be enough so you'll have to eat a lot more food. Aim for 4000 calories for now and after two months, aim for 4500 and so on. You can Xpect to gain 10lbs of muscle a month. I used to follow something called 80, 15, and 5. Where 80% was food, 15% workout and 5% cardio.

Bro I was in your position and the only solution is to.....eat more. Forget about the proteinshakes, that you can use when you have learned to eat until you puke. Everytime.
Everyone can gain, unless you have a diease. The difference with fast and slow metabolism is overrated you need to eat more. I even eat when Im not hungry, thats the only way to do it bro. Train and eat and sleep. :up:
