That's just nasty. I would have not eat it. My number one excuse is I'm allergic to the thing that person brought to me.

I remember once when I was in 8th grade, my dad took me and my siblings to his female cousin's house, she had 3 little kids, she invited us for dinner, after we ate dinner, she was cutting xalwa with her hands, while in the process of cutting the xalwa her youngest son asked for a diaper changed, she changed his diaper and without washing her damn hands she proceeded to cut the xalwa, thank god my siblings know how to read lips, we all said we didn't want the xalwa, and my father never ate xalwa in his entire life, she said alright atleast take it home, we ended up throwing the bag of xalwa and biscuits into the high way. My father was puzzled but didn't ask any questions. He was actually proud of us, because for the first time we didn't hound any sweets.

I avoid going to anyone's house for food, if they invite me, I always make excuses.

Company paid? What do you do for a living, if you don't mind me asking?

Hmm, the problem was in saying "OK". Always reject profusely but politely until you're forced to accept shah and cookies. Can't go wrong there, hopefully.

Still, there are worse things than a sneeze. Just be glad that's all you heard. Also, he/she could have very easily turned to the side.

@Agent: You liar, your macawiis is on dab.

@BV: Eeww, you're disgusting. lolz

@Ciise: Beenta daa ninyahow! Ka waran haddey Lillaahiya koob cabitaan ah kuu sameyso, and while she's bringing the cup to you she dips her finger in the cup & licks it, will you not snatch it from her hand and devour it? :steviej:

@Zel Didn't say wareer ee waxaan ku dhahay 'weerar'. Malaha dhaqan-celisnimadii ayaa kaa soo bixi rabta.

PS: Maxaan kula qaybsadaana? Well, you can make, touch & play with my food anytime. ;)

@Areesa: Freaking hell! That's gross fowqal gross! :mindblown: I just don't get how people sometimes aren't alert and sensitive enough about the people around them & what they're doing.

I have a friend who's married & with kids, and every now and then when I go to his place in weekends, I have to eat with them & I am always more suspicious when there are kids at a house. Though they're clean & tidy, just something is still in the back of my head that makes me uncomfortable.

@Tush: You would eat it, really? And here I thought you're one of the people that are easily disgusted when it comes to food.

PS: LOL! I've just remembered that super picky, paranoid lady that came to your place the other day with other friends. You need to be like that, sxb.

@Alpha: If you hear them make one big sneeze while on their way into the sitting room & in a second there they're carrying a cup of tea + cookies in both hands, will you just grab them & start munching without a second thought? lolz

Twist,

Sneeze isn't much. Besides, what I didn't see is just an assumption. I'd rather assume they have the decency to make an effort to avert the sneeze.

Tush, I am always paranoid whenever I go to a restaurant where I can't see who's making the food. Always asking myself, "Tolow what have they touched with their hands, and did they wash them afterwards?" & "Is it possible they saw me from behind the counter/camera that I am colored & hence will mess with my food?" << That last one is one that almost drives me nuts & borderline racist whenever a white person is making my food. :(

Alpha, you're good then. I wish I had such thinking Wallee. Let alone anything else, even when I buy coffee (yeah, I am back on it again. ) most of the barista's here put the lid on the cup (very few of them are smart enough to place all the lids on the counter so that the customer can add their own sugar in it and then put the lid on) and when I go outside I always wash the cover, specially the side where I am gonna put my mouth against.

 Now, you're paranoid about their hand? How do you ever eat out? You do know how food is prepared by cooks and chefs, right? There aren't any rubber gloves in the kitchen man.

Hence why I am not a big fan of most restaurants, specially those where you can't see who's making your food.

And speaking of rubber gloves, they should make those damn things compulsory in pizza bars. I like pizza but seeing how they make the dough with their bare hands just (well at least the Egyptian one that I go to every now and then does) turns me off from buying it.

Don't get me wrong, there are some places people should avoid. That's what we have health inspectors for lol.

Gloves and cooking don't go so well together. They can even be dangerous when cooking, with open flames and all. Cooks also have difficulties getting textures right with gloves on. It's no wonder that the higher-end restaurant cooks and chefs don't bother with gloves. They probably are compulsory everywhere, which is why places like Subway make it mandatory.
