She was the one who forwarded the call, due to a staff shortage (no receptionist).

Though it's unfortunate a light-hearted prank acted as a catalyst to someone's suicide, I don't think this could have been predicted by the DJs.

It's obvious the superiors were giving the nurse a hard time for embarrassing the hospital and for the privacy/security breach.
