Anyways back to the topic, I commend K'naan for reevaluating himself and I look foward to hearing his good old Somalia-civil war vibe again.
It was Written is pretty good too. Hell, even his new one isn't to bad.

But yeah, K'naan blows.

The only rapper I take seriously nowadays is Immortal Technique, only because he bitches about shit that matters.

While its true, Nas' best album is Illmatic and Illmatic may be the best rap album EVER... don't be idiotic. Nas has been in the game for 20 years and still puts out QUALITY tracks. It Was Written is a classic, Stillmatic is a classic, and he has classic tracks sprinkled throughout his discography

Anyway I hope K'Naan goes back to RAP.. and glad he put this article out to stop the pop madness he was duped into

Immortal Technique is depressing. No one wants to hear his songs about how his former lover was infected with HIV by the government to lower the racial minority population in the US or how capitalism is the root of all evil. He is a conspiracy theorist. People want to jam to their music, not start thinking about life and its problems. Music is about to zone out and not think about depressing shit. It's to run away from the real world for a few minutes. We wanna bop our head to a sick jam and feel happy. We wanna hear about the baddest shorties. No one ain't trying to listen about how the Federal Reserve's independence is bad for Americans.

Negative.

I want my music to reproach me for being an ambivalent, at best, global citizen. What you're suggesting is absurd.

Nah, it's probably the best. Top 5 at the very least. I can't think of 10 hip-hop albums that are better.

Also IT is whack uber-self conscious rap. Dude is annoying.
