I am told that there is severe deforestation up there.

Man, the mountains of Sanaag are a true heaven. I would love to build a nice cottage up there to escape the harsh Southern Summers.

AW just like everywhere in the country the charcoal trade is having devastating effect on this place, I was told its size has diminished greatly over the last few decades we need to protect what's left of it!

Wow, that is so sad. I read reports of the biodiversity there: pine trees, juniper trees, etc. To lose such cover is a disaster.
