They do. The defendant has the right choose if they want to be tried with just a judge or with a jury. ;) dont register to vote and they wont mail you

I dont think its common for ppl to ask for jurors...never met or heard stories of anyone whos ever been called to be one.

Requesting a date change, and not having to hear from them for almost a year always works for me. A year later if they ask you again, ask for another date change, continue that till Uncle Sam gives up, problem solved.

I got kicked out for being a young black male. I came to the court looking all ghetto and was promptly dismissed.

Say you're a teacher or work for the criminal justice system. Lawyers hardly put teachers on jury because they're known to be bossy, and if you work within the system, you'll influence jury members cause you're an "expert" in the field.

I went to one jury duty, it was for 2 days and I didn't do much Alhamdulilah, in the end I was paid $20. :stylin: :jawalrus:


I hope I'm never called up again. :D

2 days? and u only got paid $20..so u got jibbed $2 for the 1st and completely for the 2nd day (Going by Anarchist's $22/day)...SMH I didnt know America was so cheap.
