Basra, i was bsing just like you, i do not take serious anything you type here.
Coldoon,
These women definitely were great. But do you now the first martyr woman in Islam, do you know the woman that the prophet said where ever i turn i see her fighting for me (battle of Uhud), do you know the woman who pioneered digging wells along the pilgrimage route, do you know the woman poet who lost all her sons in a battle, do you know Hagir...there are countless women that we need to know and learn from them.

Thugnomics,
I thought it was Sumeya and not Thumeya. lol
Navy,
The stories of those women are seriously irrelevant compare to the statuses of the 4 women of Islam (Maryam, Kadija, Asiyah and Fatima). Nonetheless, if you're going to share stories of women that are "worthy of admiration", make sure they're at least part of 3 generations.
1. Sahaba era
2. Tabi‘un era
3. Tabi' Tabi'un era
That's all I'm going to say.

Re: Women in History: African Queen Anna...
Doesn't the word "Thuma" in Arabic mean 'After'. For example, in the Quran, during the explanation of Embryology, the word Thuma is used as an end and a beginning to a period of time.
I wonder what Thumeya means.
I wonder what Thumeya means.

I apologize, ElfRuler. I was not in any position to write what I wrote. I shall edit and I hope you can edit out my quote, since you quoted me. You've made pretty much good points really and I have nothing else to say.
Navy9, I apologize if I "ruined" your thread as well, wasn't my intention. Carry on as you please.
