PO, the way animals are raised is appalling and I agree with you that something must be done, but do you think boycotting all meat, dairy products will solve anything ?? there will always be those who do not give two shits about how the animals are being treated, then there are the group who simply cannot afford buying the slightly more expensive organic free range stuff.

if you really want to see a change, it needs to be policy change, contact your local MP and talk to him/her about it, instead of starving yourself from any meat and dairy products.

I have no intention of never eating meat, and I am not against the consumption of eating meat. Although, I wholeheartedly believe that the mass consumption of meat is a great disaster to the world, it helps fuel world hunger, and higher food prices. The reduction of the consumption of meat would help solve world hunger. This is about being a conscious-aware consumer.

Blackvelvet that is a great video, and I have no qualms with that kind of farm. I would choose to get all my meat products from there if I had the opportunity. Nevertheless, I still advocate for a reduction to the consumption of meat.

I shall go one day meat, and one day no meat, to begin with.

I am working my way into being a vegetarian. I cut my meat intake to simply 2 times a week. Hope to go full vegan by March.

I can't stop laughing now

keyblade, lol how does a malaysian know about hipsters? It's about a lot of things, and I have many reasons.

a/wahab, that is good. The thing about vegetables no matter how much you eat you never get fat, but you can stay healthy. Vegan is a bit of a stretch for me, one day at a time I guess.

Here is another reason to go Vegetarian. I saw someone post this on the forum
FarIyoAlif wrote:one of my friends used to work at a chicken factory a few years back and he told me that whenever one of the workers drop a chicken on the floor they would pick it up and put it in the halal chicken box, he complained to the manager and he said he would sort it out but he didn't do ish.. also most of the Asian restaurants in Birmingham are infested with rats especially the ones in small heath/bordesley green (where most somalis live).

Whenever I visit my cousins there, I keep away from those dirty restaurants.

You don't knw how the animal is treated and you don't how the meat is handled. At least I don't.
stuff like this really makes you consider going vegetarian
