If I have to be real I would have preferred Dr Mohamed Adan Sheikh to have chosen Galgaduud, Gedo, or Kismaayo for this benefaction but it was his giving and he made a choice that seemed compelling to him. I take pride and even happiness that his legacy continues to help Somali mothers, children, and the sick no matter where he chose.
I find the design very post-modern and pleasing. Good on his foundation for honoring him well. AUN.

AUN Juno Fardowsa ha ka waraabiyo Dr. Mohamed Adan Sheikh.

What is this fuss about? Hargeysa has many hospitals, Gedo which lacks basic healthcare facilities surely needed it. Nevertheless good on him.

So this built with money that belonged to the late doctor? Or was it built in his memory by money that belongs to others?

Re: mohamed adan sheik hospital in hargeisa
it was build by his foundation, money was probably channeled from his trust fund, I know his family are doing pretty well, maybe in the future they will build more hospitals throughout Somalia.
Re: mohamed adan sheik hospital in hargeisa
no doubt if he wasnt mareexan or maybe even darood he wouldnt have had the funds his family gained from afweyne but still the late doctor did do good things so god bless his foundation and hope he goes to paradise

Re: mohamed adan sheik hospital in hargeisa
The donations are from various Italian sponsors and donators, he just came with the idea back in 2000 hence his name was honored in it.

Now this makes sense. Waba yaabay I though where the hell did Marehan get millions of dollars when Gedo itself is in dire need.
Who is helping us
Who first believed in the project of the MAS-CTH was the Foundation La Stampa - Mirror of the Times in June of 2011 he started a fundraiser to help people affected
by famine in the Horn of Africa. Thanks to donations of more than 9000 Piedmont Mirror of the Times has raised funds for the construction of the pavilion of
medicine, clinics, a small laboratory analysis and classroom teaching. The Mark Berry Onlus Magic for Children (learn more visit her website) has worked tirelessly,
even with the campaign of brick, throughout 2012 to raise funds for the completion of the hospital and its management.
In a race Solidarity numerous technical sponsors listed below, provided free building material and sanitary equipment.
remain to finish some parts of the hospital, some services, the coverage of patio and outdoor areas.

Re: mohamed adan sheik hospital in hargeisa
Don`t you dare try to sully the memory of a truly inspirational Somali.
The hospital was built in Hargeisa because the late doctor (aun), considered it his country and people.
When choosing the location of a hospital, the greatest amount of good for the greatest amount of people is of prime importance.
The clan makeup of the city was/is irrelevant.
Gedo and other areas in the south were racked by fighting and extremism, it wouldn`t have been practical at this time to build a hospital.
Furthermore, who is to say the foundation won`t be building hospitals in the south as the situation stabilises.

Qurji Boy Nobody is discrediting him but the donations are from the Italian people, the idea was his. Now don't try to imply and twist things in the future
Ilma Dooro. It seems some of you didn't even learn from the last embarrassment such as claiming those pictures of Mogadishu being some small town
in Gedo.
Shameless piss poor Daroods. You are so poor that you were trying to brag about some donations made by the Italians and trying to claim it as your
own, I suggest you focus on how to built your very underdeveloped regions. Never think you have the money to undertake multi million
projects ma Isaaq baad iis moodeen.
