Re: Muslim Patrol in London
Of course it is blown out of proportion, after all it is only a few youth out of 100's of thousands of muslims in the UK. But that is exactly my point, people have a propensity to be extreme, and usually they are a small minority, which makes it very believable that it is real, and not some concocted up scheme against Islam or for political points.Lillaahiya wrote:^Not saying that it's impossible, just that it's probably blown out of proportion or even fabricated. Why? Because governments have the tendency to propagandize the masses in order gain public support or deflect attention away from excesses committed by the former. "Look, Ahmad is enforcing shari'ah law on our streets!"= creating a "threat" = play on emotions = people become irrational = government proposes a "solution" = "solution" is really a campaign strategy/political tool/way to avert public attention on xyz (usually something that the govt is f-king up) = "threat" is tackled = public feels safe momentarily = public support skyrocketsPerfect_Order wrote:What is so hard to believe that this is possible?
Nevertheless, thank you for your lesson on manufacturing consent.
