Colonl you must be totally uninformed. The pictures and video from the opening ceremony yesterday are the second day? First I ask you not to source Oxy, who is a friend of mine, but makes no sense on this topic and second the conference has shutdown...there is no second day today and no meetings taking place today at all according to all the sources including yours.

Secondly, here Nabadoon Gurux on of the most well respected Marehan elders summarising the meeting of the Sade elders in Suldan Bashiir's home in Kismaayo. Gurux who spok to VOA yesterday tells Saadaal radio:

-10 km out of Kismaayo Al Shabaab holds the land to Garbahaaray
-All ot middle Jubba is Al Shabaab and there is no active participation
-Lower Jubba's diverse and well known elders are not at the meeting and so Gedo
-There is a foreign hand in this
-Jubbaland is the end goal but this rushed meeting is a farce
-They hurried the ceremony because the diaspora and other people who came have to be givn something

There is no legitimacy. The conference has lose all political capital. The process is delegitimized and that is worst thing to happen to Ahmed Madoobe or th Kenyan plan.

I am saddened at the division in the Sade camp, they have let a golden chance bypass them using a controversial excuse.
There has been delay after delay and frankly it is time to form the official governing body of the region.

I believe the reason for Sade boycotting the conference is due to their lack of belief that they can win it. A well known strategy used by political parties around the world.
