The PM had no choice but to travel to kismaayo because the political agenda is for jubaland is unfolding exactly as planned. The PM tried to exercise his power when he called all the jubaland participants to mugadisho but no one heeded his words so he came himself.
Murax is deluding himself thinking the PM is there to secure gedo interests when in reality everyone knows that he's merely a tool used by the president at will. He is there to speak for and represent the president and his disasterous regime. It is as simple as that and only novice fellows such as murax would equate the pm with marehan. The guy hasnt even visited gedo which is the largest marehan settlement.

He should be afforded respect.....after all he is the PM.
J/Land should be conciliatory but firm towards the federal Govt.
We must not be made to look like the unreasonable party in the eyes of the international community.

OD if we disowned MSB do you think we will respect a muqayil from Xamar?
Tell me what he has done to deserve respect?
He was just handed over a system that had undergone metamorphism and he is working to derail it.

Calm down brah.....we need to play it cool....do everything according to the constitution.
Telling the Somali PM to f**k off! is not a wise political move.
Lets just participate in this federal Govt charade.
Everybody knows they`re here to derail the conference .
Smile and shake hands like silent assassins.

I agree with Talo's statement in another thread.
Talo alle udaa wrote:I don't believe they have the power to stop this Jubaland process.
It will be sad day when the so-called government's actions will inevitably lead to more Somali refugees. You would think a feeble government with a tribal war raging in Marka, and Ethiopians pulling out of Baidoa would do what it can not to instigate more tribal wars. But Alas, the Somalis have a tenacity of dismantling things not building them.
The SFG is in no position to oppose the Jubbaland project, if they did so Kenya would threaten to pull out just like Ethiopia is doing after the SFG changed Hiiraan's Administration. This government thinks itself bigger than it is, it would be wise for them to form strategic alliances instead of belittling powerful regional factions.
A SFG delegation that included members of the federal parliament and Minister of Defense Abdihakim Haji Mohamud Fiqi and Minister of Interior Abdikarim Hussein Guled arrived in Kismayo on Sunday and met with interim administration leader Sheikh Ahmed Madoobe.
...
Following a delay, Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon arrived in Kismayo on Tuesday to a large welcome. After briefly speaking to media, Shirdon met privately with officials. Sources tell GO he proposed the same initiative as the SFG delegation however was turned down. The talks have not broken down and will continue on Tuesday.

A few months ago PM Shirdon completely rejected Jubbaland and called it unconstitutional, today the PM is conducting talks with Jubbaland's leader Ahmed Madoobe. I welcome this effort at rapprochement, clearly this situation will soon be solved with the SFG accepting the Jubbaland Admin. They may not like it but it must be done unless they want HSM back in force in the South.

Colonel calm down. Ethiopia just wanted international attention, more than being in control of administrations and stuff. They wanted Mommy US and UN and other regional powers to notice them. They were quickly told to shut up, or loose aid. If you noticed, instead of the world whining like they did for Uganda, Amisom immediately came out and said we are prepared for Ethiopia to withdraw, and ready to take over. Kenya has bigger fish to fry with it's recent elections, and as a matter of fact, started to actually behave impartial like they were suppose to do from the start.
And it hasn't even been a month since the PM called it unconstitutional, and hasn't moved an inch from his position. He actually feels like he has more power than he did before, considering is world wind tours of the central regions and Puntland, stretching Government control.

Kenya's election has gone perfectly well and for the most part violence-free. Both candidates have also agreed to accept the voting committee's decision, the case is pretty much closed. As for AMISOM moving in to replace Ethiopian troops in Bay, can they do it? Yes. Do they want to do it? No. Outstretching their forces all over the country will be a blessing for HSM, no military force in the world wants to be stretched out when facing a resistance movement.
The same scenario applies for Kenya, if they don't like the way the situation is going they could just pack up and cross the border. I'm glad you view them as an impartial force, although quite foolish as the man paying the salaries of Kenyan soldiers is an Ogadeni himself.

Kenya is Not Ogaden, and Yusuf Hajji is not Amisom. Amisom pays the salaries of the Kenyan Amisom troops. Sierra Leon is sending it's troops in, and will be deploying probably where ethiopia was in.
Kenya is not closed, most of western powers don't like Uhuuru, ICC wants to try him for war crimes, and the recent election is going to be recounted, but who knows how the people will react if they either side doesn't get what they want.
p.s. I don't think Yusuf Haji will stay on as defense minister.

I either don't think Shitdown will even make it to next year.
