That is exactly my point. All they learnt was to fear their dad.
An open discussion about why they should not do this would be more appropriate and would equip them to make better informed decisions next time. Few years down the track when these young girls reach adolscence and are faced with peer pressure, the allures of under aged drinking, partying and sex, who will they turn to for advice ? Most likely not that father that beat them senseless all these years.

I'm not against a beating here and there but it has to be done in moderation not like the above clip which
is difficult to watch and lacks compassion. I was beaten but was definitely not the only form of discipline I received.
In fact my worst beating was when I lit my quilt on fire and sat in the family room while half my room was on fire. Some situations do warrant a beating.
